The London Borough of Croydon is inviting suitably qualified providers and professionals to attend a market engagement event to discuss its intentions for the future commissioning of children’s social care assessments.
The Council has a statutory duty to provide assessments when required under the Children Act 1989 in order to meet the needs of children and determine what action to take in response to reports presented for the following assessments:
- Psychological and psychiatric assessment
- Parenting Assessment Manual Software (PAMS) assessment
- Parenting assessment
- Residential parenting assessment
- Reverse residential (community-based) assessment
- Viability assessment
- Connected person assessment
- Together & Apart assessment
- Form F assessment
- Risk assessment
- Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessment
The Council is seeking to improve the quality and timeliness of these reports by procuring new assessment services under a Framework Agreement with a wide range of suppliers who are able to meet the Council’s and the Courts’ requirements for good quality and timely reports that contain clear and robust recommendations.
The event will explore opportunities to improve services with existing and potential providers of children’s social care assessments by covering the following topics:
- The current position in Croydon including levels of need
- An outline of the service requirements
- Outcomes expected by the Council and Courts
- Requirements and outcomes proposed by providers
- The indicative procurement timetable
The discussions will inform the development and procurement of the service.
Please note: This market engagement activity does not constitute a call for competition to procure any services, supplies or works for the Council and the Council is not bound to accept any proposals offered.
The Council is not liable for any costs, fees or expenses incurred by any party participating in this event. Any procurement of any services, supplies or works by the Council in due course will be carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions in the UK and EU Procurement Regulations.
To register your attendance at this event please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of your company and the name of the delegate you wish to attend.
Due to room capacity we can only permit 1 delegate from your organisation.
The deadline for registering your attendance is 12 noon on Wednesday 19th September 2018.
